The projected image is jumping or shaking.

Background

This help article is for users who have successfully connected their source device to the projector, but the projected image is jumping, jittering or shaking.

Most Common Issues

Here are the most common causes of jittering or shaking images from a Miroir projector and some things to try to correct the issue:

  1. The output resolution or refresh rate on your source device needs to be adjusted.
    • If the projector is having a hard time recognizing the resolution that your device is sending, the image may appear to shake. Check the output resolution on your source device and try selecting the resolution flagged as "Recommended" or a 1080p.
      • On a Windows 10 computer, you can check your output resolution in your Display Settings. More detailed instructions are available in Microsoft's help article View display settings in Windows 10.
      • On an Apple computer, you can check your output resolution in your Displays Settings as well. More detailed instructions are available in Apple's support article Change your display’s resolution: Set the Resolution for a Connected Display.
      • If you are unsure what output resolution your source device is set to, or how to check this resolution please consult your source device's product manual or the manufacturer for more details.
  2. The cables and/or adapters are not connected securely.
    • Check that any cables and/or adapters being used are securely plugged into your source device and into the projector.
    • Try unplugging all the cables and adapters from your source device and the projector and then plugging them in again.
  3. The projector is sitting on an unstable or vibrating surface.
    • If you are using the device while it is sitting on top of another device or in very close proximity, such as a gaming console or DVD player for example, the projector may pick up vibrations from this device when projecting making the image appear to vibrate. Try re-locating the device to a hard flat table.
